GE Garages was created to show the world that GE did much more than make light bulbs. GE brought together brands like Techshop and LittleBits to create a place where guests could build things with experts or get help with one of their own ideas. What started as a single activation in SXSW soon turned into a global tour including Nigeria, Algeria, Abu Dhabi. Currently the Garages in Nigeria, Algeria, Abu Dhabi, and Turkey are all still operating.
